I have received some exciting news! I entered a competition and received the following response:
This is a direct quote from Isabelle Kenyon of Fly on the wall Press.
She has chosen my poem to be printed in a book called “Planet in Peril”.
All profits will go to charity, namely the World Wildlife Fund and the Climate Coalition.
“Take a stand!” is an excellent piece of work that we have decided to include in the anthology. Individual feedback:
We particularly enjoyed how you managed to incorporate several climate change issues, such as the rising of sea-levels, plastic pollution and expansion of deserts. It almost reads like a manifesto, unapologetic in describing how the planet is suffering, as well as calling for action and involvement. It is a great fit with the aim of our Planet in Peril anthology.
